Over the buttercup field

The weather was bright and sunny today so we went for a lovely walk along the canal and lanes at Lower Frankton.  This photo is of a field of buttercups close to the canal which looked so beautiful in the sunshine. 

A lady from my art group lives close by and we had a very socially distanced conversation over the canal.

There were lots of birds singing but they all were all hidden behind the leaves.  We saw two small blue butterflies too. I think that they were common blue but were too far away for me to be absolutely sure.
