A future project!

I was given this today. The owner died last year and the family have taken what they wanted from the house, so now the landlord is clearing it out.

There was a terrific bonfire as I was going past, so I asked what was happening to the sewing machine. Going to the tip once it was reopened, with a huge pile of other stuff, he said. I asked if I could have it and he was only too happy to find it a home. He even brought it down to the house for me! As my granny always said "shy bairns get nowt"!

It is covered in bird droppings and smells of mice, but the moving parts are still moving, so it will be great to get it cleaned up a bit and see if it can be made to work again.
