Heron

Gentle drizzle fell all day - the sort of rain we needed.  Not so heavy that it runs off and erodes the dry, dusty footpaths and peatlands but just the right rate to soak in.  No effect on river level.  Lots of birdsong and activity; they seem to like the change.
