Thanks so much for all the stars, hearts and lovely comments you gave to celebrate my 2500th blip yesterday.
Today started wet but with the promise of a better afternoon. We parked in Grasmere and walked up past Allan Bank (NT), detouring up the drive to the gates of the property to look at the sculptures in the grounds. My husband initially thought one was a real deer. A lady came down and told us it was closed ……. er yes, we had read the three signs en route. She said that some people had been climbing the fence to get in. I explained our purpose and continued the wander.
Indecision again over photos. Baa baa black sheep (Herdwick lambs) is the last minute choice for main and Helm Crag an extra.
Back in Ambleside it was as wet as when we left yet it had been dry for our walk.
