The Morning After

Not sure I enjoyed or got the various tributes yesterday to Ian Curtis. Typically Barney and Hooky didn’t bury the hatchet.

So, to mark the occasion I got out my 38 year old vinyl copy to play in the first time since I got these songs on cd 20 plus years ago. On my decent hifi, despite the odd crackle, it sounded absolutely fantastic. Heard new depths to the production that aren’t there in compressed mp3 files on tinny speakers.

I wonder what would have happened if he’d gone on that tour rather than top himself?
