Two special little people

Our fist pick up from school since March, what an exciting and very special day!
Deklan and Ruby have been back in school a few weeks now, being given the all clear for them to safely return, however with some restrictions, Grandparents weren't encouraged to collect their Grandchildren, all parents not allowed in through the school gates but to wait distancing from other parents, each parent in turn told the staff at the gate the name of their child/ren another member of staff goes to collect them from the undercover area where the students are sat patiently waiting.
Grandparents can now collect their young ones, we followed the line of parents which wasn't very long and it was quite orderly walking up to the school gates, within minutes two very excited faces with arms outstretched ran as fast as they could to get through the gates, they were in my arms within a flash, then it was Grandads turn, with non stop excited chatter all the way home, it didn't take long to slot right back to 'normal' with their favourite snacks and ice cream to follow, one positive thing about this dreaded virus, its made us more appreciative of just the smallest things, also not to take things for granted, just enjoy every moment you have..
