Shadow Bench, Rochester

Due to the changes in lockdown we are now allowed to drive to a nearby location for a walk or exercise. Therefore, me and my brother took a drive over to Rochester and had a walk around Rochester Castle and Gardens and the surrounding streets. It was a very warm day - more like August than the middle of May. It felt strange walking through the streets with all the pubs, restaurants and shops closed - apart from a chemists and a shop selling indoor lighting! My main image is of the Castle Gardens and shows a bench in the shade of the trees and the outer wall of the castle keep. My second photo is an image of a drink in the window of the Ye Arrow pub just off Rochester High Street - exactly the kind of drink you can imagine drinking in a pub garden in the height of summer - if only!
