Almonds and aniseed...

were the strong perfumes at the riverside this morning. The almond came from the Bird Cherry and the aniseed from the Sweet Cicely, just wonderful!
Watched the young Dippers managing to fish for themselves, albeit under the watchful eye of their father. They kept meeting up and seemed to be showing each other what they had found!
The  Grey  Wagtails showed off their young too and were surprisingly vociferous.
A beautiful Spring morning that became a lovely Spring day!
