Away for the day
Lou returned to school this morning, so now we only have the eldest at home all day. Hearing the two girls chatting over breakfast early this morning, things started to feel just that little bit closer to normal.
I worked at home on a translation this morning and then actually went out to work this afternoon. As a full-time home worker, this only happens three or four times a year, so even in these post-lockdown times, that's quite an event. And I got to drive the new car (Tommy Cooper) there! All my Christmasses come at one... or something like that.
This afternoon's mission was not translation, but photography... I'm providing the pictures for a friend's website while she's going to come and give me gardening/landscape advice, with a few plants thrown in. And even a night in her new gîte. A fair swap.
While all that was going on, Gaël chopped down the conifer hedge in front of the house ... looks so much better and brighter, but will definitely need that advice and those plants now!
