An early blipper
"Our May", a photograph of her niece by Julia Margaret Cameron (1870).
Julia Margaret Cameron (1815-79) was an English photographer. She took up photography at the age of 49, when her daughter gave her a camera, with the words, "It may amuse you, Mother, to try to photograph during your solitude."
Which is pretty much what Blippers are doing right now.
The story comes from "Women who read are dangerous", a collection of images of women reading, by Stefan Bollmann.
