At Last

I am very pleased with myself today. I have finally made two masks to wear when popping out to the shops - just in case it becomes compulsory. I'm not sure about the science behind the wearing of them but I do think it shows other people that you are serious about  trying to do the 'right thing'.

Sewing and I are not good bedfellows. Having broken one machine and failed to get one of those silly little lightweight plastic things to load the cotton properly I had to resort to hand sewing. I was quite impressed that I could remember how to do a running back stitch though. The video I followed said it could be done in 15 mins - it took me 11/2 hours as I had to unpick it twice as first the elastic turned out to be on the inside then I failed to catch the elastic at all and it just fell off!

We were supposed to be having a quiz night with some friends tonight but it has just been cancelled. I shall now have to cross it off my calandar. There are only 4 things on there this month and 2 have already been crossed through. I fondly remember the days when it have entries for most days :(
