Garden in May
Every single flower in this collage is growing in a pot, as we have very little in the way of flower-beds in our small garden. The miniature rose was grown from seed, at least 30 years ago. I did repot it once a couple of years ago, and it carried on growing with renewed vigour.
The one compensation to lockdown is that, as I've not been away from home, all the pots have been regularly watered during the past two dry months. It's also enabled me to grow veg seriously (again, in pots) for the first time. The ivy-leaved toadflax and the aquilegia appear by themselves - everywhere. I suppose as I don't plant them or choose their location, they should be classed as weeds, but I love them.
