New arrival(s)

We have our first lock-down chick! The weather has been pretty good so we let the chickens sit on a batch of eggs. Chickens never cease to amaze me - three or four of our hens took turns to sit on the eggs, ensuring that they each had time to eat, drink and get some exercise. We're all waiting to see if we have any more chicks arrive over the next few days, and whether they are layers or join the boys club (with our three unproductive but lovely cockerels). edit: clearly one of them at least has been very productive.
