Mowing
A mowing day today. First the lawn (see 1st extra), then the lockdown hair. W trimmed his fringe a couple of weeks ago, but today it all got too much, and he decided to go for an all over shear.
The very first time I went to see him at his home, he had me help him with using a clipper on his hair to cut it to a "number 4". I found this really rather weird, but luckily it didn't put me off. Since then, I had "persuaded" him that he actually looks much better with slightly longer hair, and he has been getting a professional hairdresser to cut it - but I have to admit, it does need trimming every 6 weeks or so, and that clearly hasn't been possible. So today, he attacked it with clippers, with my help, this time set to "number 6". However, it was complicated slightly by the fact that the elderly clippers decided they were not going to hold a charge, and only worked whilst taped into the charger! Final result is the second extra.
We've ordered a new clipper, and if the hairdressers don't get back to work soon, you may get a photo of me with a similar style!
Whilst admiring the pond later this afternoon, we spotted an exuvia - the first of the year. No decent photos - the couple I took, without glasses, so I was relying on the camera autofocus, the camera has clearly decided that the exuvia is not the "item of interest". If it's still there in the morning, I'll take another.
