Mr White, on the corner, with a skip.
You may remember that on Sunday my Blip was about Tom and his landscaping work on his front garden. This morning the skip lorry came for its collection and it was fascinating to watch the eye of a needle precision with which Mr White jiggled the skip through 90 degrees while parked in the tiny narrow lane and hoisted it on board.
Later we looked in on a webcam transmission of the funeral of our good friend Jerry. Seen on the left in the link. He was a renaissance man being an accomplished artist, musician and model railway builder. He will be sadly missed. The funeral service was surprisingly moving - I thought it would be awkward and sterile. Very well done with heartfelt tributes from his family and his beloved wife. It was a new experience for me and probably the loads of others who would have been looking in.
After that I had to get out for a ride in the forest to get some air and the Essex Way beyond Epping didn't disappoint.
I'm doing alcohol free weekdays at the moment but broke the rule this evening to raise a glass to Jerry.
