Life’s A Beach

To celebrate the end of Eldest’s first year at uni, we went to Maenporth after tea. There was a chilly onshore breeze so it ended up with only MrRoly swimming. They all played cricket while I chatted at a distance with a friend who was there with her son. So good to catch up - we’ve only exchanged brief messages since lockdown started.

In other news, I collected my 40 blocks of bargain butter as well as 16kg of strong white flour and 16kg of strong whole meal flour. I hadn’t realised just how big the sacks would be but as we’re baking at least 1 loaf every other day I’m confident it’ll be gone well before the best before date of April ‘21!

We also had the refunds through today for our tickets for Harry Potter the Play and Little Mix. Which is just as well as Brittany Ferries have taken the balance of our booked crossing to Spain at the end of July. I honestly can’t see it going ahead and we’ve asked for a credit to rebook in the future but the website says this can take up to 40 days to process...
