Countess Cathleen: costume for a demon (spirit)

This is Lorna's design of a costume for the character a demon in disguise as a spirit  in an imaginary performance of Countess Cathleen by WB Yeats (full text available on Project Gutenberg).

The demons in the play are sometimes disguised as merchants. We now believe that the paintings that we blipped on 7th February 2020 and 8th February 2020 probably belong to this Countess Cathleen costume series.
