Social Distancing – Day 60

Craigwell Brewery on Calton Rd.
It was started at about 1820 though these buildings are from the late 19th Century. The brewery ceased production in the early 1900’s when the well water was contaminated but a second well was dug/drilled and the production re-started but with the rationalization of breweries it closed in 1953. It was derelict for a while but since 1987 has now been converted into 22 apartments. I wonder what the beer tasted like, bet it wasn’t hoppy!
