Bell Tower

Had to pass by today, so stopped and walked up. Its a seventeenth century building and the bell tolled out around the parish, warning of danger. It stands on an eminence overlooked a wide area. It was also used as a prison occasionally.
Today was pleasant if cooler.
The blood has washed off the lintel. This comment for my brother who was taller than the entrance!
