Splish Splash

The birds have certainly been making use of the bird bath today.
While I was having breakfast the wood pigeon decided to just sit in it for about 10 mins. As you can see he completely fills the bath. ( except for the frog)
As soon as he decided to vacate it the blackbird jumped in.
He certainly had a good wash.
Then the robin came for a drink.
I have had to fill it up twice today.

Another very warm day. Mainly sunny, but not as hot as yesterday, and much better for sitting in the garden.
Also planted up the window box and did some pruning and dead heading.
It will be watering again tonight, even though Mr C says it is going to rain tomorrow.  So far we haven't had the rain that has been promised. I hope this time they are right.
Good weather again for the weekend, which is a Bank Holiday. I hope people are sensible.

I had an email from the National Trust saying which places will be open.  Parkland only, and you have to book the car park.
Nostell Priory, which is the nearest one to us, is all ready sold out for the whole weekend!  We wouldn't have been going anyhow.  As we always avoid going anywhere on a Bank Holiday. Much prefer to stay at home.
