Sic transit gloria mundi

“Thus passes all earthly glory”
I took this photo of the evening sky and went out a couple of minutes later to see if it had improved, but there was only an ordinary sky!
I’ve posted quite a few early morning photos from our garden, but this is the first evening one I think.
It reminded me of something.
