Day 142/20 Decanting Sloe Bacardi into Bottles
Having decanted and labelled the bacardi I then made jam with the fruit. Then I realised that this fruit was sloes, not damsons. D'oh! Fortunately the labels were only a 'working label' while I work on a snazzier label design..
Anyway, the sloes that have been soaking for two years have been decanted - another job done. Why Bacardi? Because someone gave me some bottles they'd found in a shed, left over from the days when they drank Bacardi. Does it work? I'll report back
I was going to take last year's damsons out of the freezer and start off a batch of damson gin. As I have no gin I'll make some jam with them instead.
Result - no shopping needed!
