The America I am proud of

I happened to be in the park when I saw these people and I offered to take some photos. The extras show a sequence, the group when I first saw them; shots of the graduate; for the last shot I suggested they all get together.  At first there was reluctance, but that changed, the masks came off and and I got the shot. When I got home I saw more clearly, the mom was wearing a Hilton Hotel uniform, like a housekeeper would wear. Holding balloons and standing next to her daughter she was absolutely beaming. I'd put money on it that the grad is first generation, if not born south of the border, and the first in her family to go to college.
