White Bougainvillea

This afternoon’s long walk with J was cancelled due to threatened wind and rain which, in the end, didn’t eventuate. We’ll do it next Friday. Instead, there was a stroll to the bookshop, bakery and wine shop and a detour to blip this white bougainvillea in a nearby apartment block’s courtyard. It’s growing at the approach to the underground carpark.

White is the only true colour for bougainvillea, it seems, but this one has a touch of deep purple, expressed in tinges to some of the bracts.
