Day 58 - Lines in the mud
A trip out to the Boulder Bank today, ostensibly to try to find and 'shoot' a kingfisher, but in reality, to help me to reset. Whilst I've loved lockdown and the peacefulness it has brought I do recognise that with the absence of deadlines, expectations and visitors, I have let a few things slip. Time to draw a line in the sand mud and get myself sorted out.
Oh - and there wasn't a kingfisher to be seen anywhere today! Another time - I will get one.
Today sees a change of leader of the opposition with Simon Bridges being ousted by his caucus in favour of relative unknown, Todd Muller. The next 4 months leading up to the General Election will be interesting.
IN COVID news, we've had one new case which is linked to an existing cluster. There were 3 recoveries overnight bringing our active cases total down to a very nice, round two dozen. Each new case, of course, adds roughly 2 weeks to the time until we can reasonably confidently say we've eliminated it. Between now and then we've all got our fingers and toes crossed that there are no other new cases and that we can step towards - maybe even into - Level 1 in another week's time.
