Ventilation

This old mine ventilation shaft was part of the extensive network of collieries in the parish of Haigh. Alongside it on the other side of the hedgerow on the 1849 map was an old mineral railway. All long gone, now a rather rural setting with this morning's sunshine giving a nice backdrop : )
