Uphill, North Somerset

Here, after a blip-break, we have Uphill. On the North Somerset coast of the Bristol Channel, south of Weston-super-Mare in the distance, and a lot nicer I think.
You can feel space, and it's never crowded. Tiny figures here and there walking dogs, a coastguard's pick-up driving along what looks like the waterline...you can just drive off the road and onto the sand...stop where you like.
The tides in the Bristol Channel rise and fall very dramatically. Get on the beach at low tide and there may be water, or wetness, as far as you can see...to the horizon in some places...but only inches deep; it's not sea. The sands are treacherous. Things can sink and be swallowed up...

A bright, then turning misty day as the afternoon wore on. The light can be amazing, reflecting on the wet sands. The skies are huge, awesome, 'Turner Skies', and all sorts of interesting things happen on the beach, different groups of people and activities. I will be back.
Rather flat for it's name....?
Behind me there is a very large rock with a church on top of it...as we will see on another day.
