Proud Mary

It was quite chilly in the park after work today so I didn't stop awfully long. Spotted this detail on my way back home down the hill. I love the way that the tiles have been made to interlock following the shape of the design. You would be hard-pressed to find anything like that in this day and age.

The pattern made me think “rolling on the river” and so I Googled Proud Mary. Obvs I found plenty of Creedence and Tina Turner, and then I stumbled upon this; Proof that not all secondary school music teachers are thoughtless and that some even wear headsets
