Sparrow chick

This morning we went to visit friends in Oswestry and to do a book swap with them.  We stood outside (socially distanced) and had a most enjoyable chat.  While we were talking a red kite flew over - a very rare sight around here.  It was being mobbed by a solitary jackdaw that was crowing at it as it sent the kite away.

The sparrow chick was in F's garden.
