Pebble Mill At One
I discovered this volume while searching for something else, it brought back happy memories. Pebble Mill was a magazine programme broadcast live on weekdays at one o'clock, from 2 October 1972 to 23 May 1986 on BBC1 from the Pebble Mill studios in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
I was an avid watcher, during the later of those years, enjoying the variety of subjects while at home with young children, I also have the spin-off books by guests - cooks Michael Smith and Rev John Eley, aka the Cooking Canon, using their recipes to this day.
There were several other good BBC programmes at the time: Ann Ladbury's sewing patterns for children, Richard Blizzard's wooden toy-making and Geoffrey Smith in the garden being particularly useful favourites for which I still have patterns and books.
