Submerged

After more rain today, the lake levels have risen considerably and rocks along the shoreline are under water. The rain had stopped by the time I went out and I could take my time exploring for a composition. It's always a challenge to find an arrangement of shapes, what to include, how much to include, how close to get, how much detail to show.

In this image, I liked that the main rock, just breaking the surface, is sharp compared to those around it that were beneath the water and a little distorted. I think not being able to see the surface or water movement helps to give a sense of mystery.
