Make America Grim Again

There's a new divide between Democrats and Republicans. 
Certain idiots, following in the footsteps of their Commander-in-Tweet, have decided to forego wearing masks as a statement of their Republican allegiance. They have rights! It's an expression of their freedom!

So while others of us are doing our best to avoid the toxic aerosols of our neighbors, while preventing our own germs from being transmitted, these self-identified libertarians are refusing to wear masks even in stores that prohibit customers from entering without them. 

Sigh. I go out less and less often. This is why.

There are signs of awakening consciousness brought on by the trials we collectively face. There are moments when I have hopes for a wiser and kinder future. But not when I have to go out among the maskless.
