I had a careers appointment with a good friend of mine this morning. It was really good to discuss options and have a look at where I might head - post teaching. I love working with young people, but am very disenchanted with teaching, and have been for some time. this will be a slow and steady process and I don't really now where it will lead right now, but it's good to be at least thinking about my future.

It's been a rainy old day. We took Abe for a soggy walk up at the Wetlands this afternoon and then broinlaw popped round with Ollie the collie. Abe and Ollie ripped up the muddy back yard, playing and playing. Nikau retreated to the top of the piano as a safe haven.

All quiet now.
