Mrs Hen Harrier

A couple of days ago I managed to catch the male.  The females are totally different in look and unless you look closely, hard to identify quickly. I wasn’t expecting it to be as quick as this before the female was seen off the nest and hunting. Not the greatest of pictures, as I had to zoom and crop, but it is the one showing the white rump bar that distinguishes them from common buzzards.

Still no sign of the elusive Orioles.
