The Orange Thief

Even after doubling the number of orange halves hanging on the witch hazel bush they did not last long. And the Baltimore Orioles were not around as much. Now, here's the culprit: a fast acting Catbird. He can really go through an orange in no time.
He chases any other diners away.
And yes, catbirds do mew just like kittens in distress.

Other Cat Report:
Gracie Tt came through her hospital visit alive and well. She is resting today. No surgery was needed; she had a massive sinus infection. So, lavage, then injecting steroids and antibiotics. Other charges made for a bill double the quoted size: $483.
So far this year Gracie Tt owes me over $700 in vet fees. That's a lot of purring.
In three years she may need another lavage of the sinuses! I should start saving now or hope the government gives out another $1200 virus bonus.
