Happy (and slightly emotional) Birthday to me

It goes without saying - an unusual day.

I was doing ok with spending the day on my own, it's just another day after all. I was lucky enough to be sent a few lovely cards and presents, and then I took delivery of this box of amazingness which my parents had ordered from Cocorico Patisserie* in Whitchurch. 

I spent the next 5 minutes (-ish) slightly overwhelmed by everything, and in bits, unable to do anything except wait for the tears to stop. My parents are so caring and thoughtful, and I really am a lucky bugger.


* Cocorico are going to be in the new series of Bake Off: The Professionals, which starts on 26th May. They were previously the runners up in the 2nd series (when it was known as Bake Off: Crème de la Crème), so these are some right tidy bits of cake!
