Someone got a dousing

I was going to try a triptych as demonstrated by John Gravett’s blip of three gate posts yesterday. Mine was going to be of three different walls. However, this storm put that on hold for another day.

Someone got a pasting beneath that cloud. Not us, we had about five minutes of light rain and the sound of lots of thunder. That was the second storm in an hour that slid away to the south of us. We could have done with some of that rain.

Weeding and watering at the allotment this afternoon while Susan was sewing in her studio. We were both doing delicate work as I was evicting weeds from around tiny seedlings on my hands and knees using a penknife as a miniature hoe. Seems to work.

Took Susan’s car to have the aircon done this morning. The year’s guarantee from the last recharge ran out on 21st May but even though we rang to make the appointment on 21st, Halfords wouldn’t do the work under the guarantee. The annoying thing is that the aircon hasn’t work properly since the warmer lockdown weather began. We should have looked up the invoice earlier.
