Day 67

Today was a pond day. We decided to clear out the pond which is 3 foot deep. It must have 2 foot of mud and silt so a mucky job. I Wasn’t  much help really as I was getting all the items together that we needed I caught my foot in the netting which we had just taken off. The pain in my upper leg was horrendous . I suspect a pulled hamstring and  the periphomous muscle is affected too I think .  so, much rest for me today. Alan did very well. Most of the fish were saved e Celt one which jasper got and Ted ate. Dogs!! Jasper tried to get in the pond as he spotted frogs. He is a master hunter at catching them so the back garden is now banned and they only have the court yard area. I think the cleanup operation will take a couple of days then the fish can go back to nice fresh water that will have been treated.

I bought theses seeds yesterday. Have never grown swede before so I hope I have better luck than with parsnips
