English Bank Holiday

I had a legitimate reason to visit Waverley this morning. I was trying to imagine all the English Bank holiday visitors who usually throng here along with hen and stag parties in addition to all the foreign visitors. Edinburgh’s tourist eggs are all in one, now completely empty, basket. It is hard to see a way back from this situation anytime soon. One small consolation was that no one was being blown about by the remnants of tropical storm Arthur!
