'Evening All - The Blue Lamp

Blue lamps were first introduced outside British police stations in 1861.

This pair of lamps are outside Wood Street Police Station, Wakefield.

I photographed them on leaving the office after yet another long day. I half expected to meet George Dixon coming the other way.
