Poppies

Today, the wind did blow.... These poppies were doing their best to stay in place and I had to up the speed to try and get some definition in the blur of red.  The grasses are not fairing so well as can be seen in the straw colours  of the seed heads and we are in need of rain now after a dry and warm spring.   The farmers are irrigating the fields but for them its a never ending job moving the big spray heads from place to place, although they re already wondering if it is worth doing because of the lack of migrant workers this year in the wake of Brexit and the Virus to help harvest the crops.
