The Little Guy.
After a chilly start and a morning spent trying to navigate through the health care/insurance bureaucracies to arrange an appointment with a specialist my transplant docs want me to see, I drove to Spanish Springs, one of the Villages in Lady Lake. The Villages are hard to explain. Think retirement communities on steroids. Still as I wandered around the central square and walked the paths that surround a small pond I was in Blip heaven.
The sun was warm on my back, there was a riot of Gulls and Egrets feeding at one end of the pond, and people were sailing model boats around the brightly colored markers of a course laid out in the middle. Ducks and Geese paddled along a small brook and people strolled along the walkways or sat chatting on benches, soaking up the sun.
It was a sumptuous banquet for for an old guy with a camera and a Blip addiction.
Making one last circuit around the central square before getting into my car and heading home to sort through my riches, I heard this little guy in some bushes then, as I waited to see what I might see, he popped up to say hello then chirped his goodbyes and flew off. He made me laugh and laughing with the sun warm on your back is a good thing, a very good thing indeed.
....and the adventure continues.
