Evening sunshine

Just a bit better this morning, and improving through the day so we were able to get out by mid afternoon.   It was good to get out in the fresh air after two days of rain.

Poppies have now been staked and are none the worse for their battering.  The same cannot be said of the courgettes and runner beans which are being severely attacked by the slugs & snails.   C is threatening a night-time raid with a torch.

In the meantime, these aquilegia were looking lovely with the evening sunshine on them.
