Busy, busy little bees

Today would have been the commencement for my niece's high school graduation if the world were normal.  Her school is going to do the ceremony hopefully at the end of July so my sister hasn't even sent out announcements yet.  The folks that announcements are ordered through said they will provide a "change of date" notice to put into the announcements so she is waiting for those before they ship them out.  Being the actually original date though I asked my sister if I could still bring the gift and some cookies from a special bakery here in the region.  We actually decided to do a small family dinner and cookies to mark the day.  As I was getting ready to go get cookies (and part of the gift I had yet to purchase) I was in the backyard and noticed the buzz.  More poppies are starting to pop and with that the honey bees are in full work mode.  I don't know why I have never noticed their interest in the poppies before!  This photo came out to be my favorite, I love how the one still in the flower is covered in purple pollen.
