BOATS TO THE WATER

I put the boat "FANTAIL" or "Piwakawaka" inthe water today with the intention of going up the Ferrymead on a Bird safari! It worked out fine but I had to get under the Ferrmead bridge which is being rebuilt. heaps of pipes and things hanging - negotiated with success.

I saw WF Herons, Kingfishers, gulls, shags and heaps of ducks. - My main difficulty was stroking the oars and trying to get into position and photograph at the same time I did quite a lot of drifting and quite a bit of grounding in shallow water trying to get a closer advantage.

Nevertheless - a good learning expedition and a few nice pics and Camera dry - I chose this one in the end as I havn't put one up for some time.
