Everglades Tour - Dolphin

We had a day-long tour of the everglades booked for our last full day. It started with a walk in Big Cypress Reserve to see an alligator hole (complete with 6 gators). We also saw lots of different trees and birds, and even some otters hunting and playing.

The second part of the day was a boat trip out through the saltwater mangroves that line the gulf coast. The scenery was amazing, but the highlight was bottlenose dolphins coming to play in the wake of the boat. Alligators are cool, but how could I resist blipping this?

After lunch (including an alligator appetiser - it really does taste like chicken!) we took an airboat ride round a lake and some swamp. We saw lots more alligators, herons, egrets... And even more amazing scenery.
