Bee-draggled

I've noticed lately that many of the bees I'm seeing have these somewhat bedraggled or frazzled wings. They must have had a hard season of flying.

I had decided what I was going to blip tonight so headed off after work to the roadside verge that I wanted to photograph. The problem was that when I got there the mass of weeds/wildflowers that I had planned to capture had been mowed for hay. Oh no!

So I came home blipless and had to resort to a wander around the back lawn with my macro lens.
