Gangsta Granny

An errand for a friend first thing in Windermere, then we'd a plan for a wander, perhaps round a lake so Missy could swim.
Leaving Windermere on empty roads Mrs IttH suddenly exclaimed "that old lady doesn't look well" - hazards on, gloves on and off to help. Annoyingly I'd taken my responder case out of the van - so only a small FA kit. The lovely Jaqui had given herself a right knock. Broken her teeth, slashed lips, broken wrist and a big contusion on her head. Ambulance time. But the main point I want to make is just how many lovely people came to help. The staff at McColls brought a chair and water. Some chaps from a takeaway went out to the main road to look direct the ambulance. A landrover driver blocked the lane till I was sure I could move J safely.
When she asked me how she looked I knew someone born during the war didn't need or want it sugar coating. "You'll have an impressive scar" I told her. "Ooh" she replied "Gangsta Gran in my grand children's favourite" We were all still giggling when the crew pulled up.

By now however our early start had been negated and the roads were busy - so we headed for a comparatively closer and easier access short stroll favourite. It's hard to better this view anywhere. As you'll see in extras I was jealous of Missy's swim so got in on the action. It's been a fantastically warm day, ice creams well earned.
