Skylark scene!

There were Skylarks singing all around as I enjoyed a wonderful morning walk to the lochan. There are dozens nesting here and the one in the extra shows what they enjoy eating. This is lovely heather moorland and one of my favourite places. Stonechats were calling and flying around too.
At the lochan there was a hatch of Large Red Damselflies, newly emerged they are pretty colourless.
Moving on to another lochan in the area, I found White Faced Darters emerging, a Four Spotted Chaser flew by as did a Green Hairstreak.
