A blizzard of sawdust

Our immediate neighbour has had a twin trunk silver birch cut down.

Here the acrobatic tree surgeon is on the first trunk, neatly sawing logs for the winter fire.

When he had finished taking down both trunks, we saw more blue sky than I knew existed.

All our windows remained tightly closed to avoid a coating of sawdust.
